WALT: Use and respond to the phrase “I aha Koe”. Last week in my He kakano class we had to make a book which responded to the phrase "I aha Koe" Which means what are you doing. Then we screencastifyed the book so you could read and listen the book. Here is my book.
English So Far
Working in group with people I know helps me a lot. I think it's being able to talk about ideas and share what we are thinking. Also it being people I am friends with makes me want to share my ideas more, because I'm not afraid of saying a stupid idea. In English we have been doing the sex-y paragraph and be colour coding it and I think it really helps for me to get my ideas down and have a full paragraph. I have tried to use the colour coding on other work and it really helped. We have also been doing reading and writing at the start of a class and the writing a paragraph before we start the class is teaching me to write faster and put my sentence together. The reading for ten minutes is helping me to read quicker, because I want to finish as much of the book as I can before the ten minutes is up. I think focusing on one thing at a time help me progress, so instead of thinking this is a whole lot of work I will never finish this I focus on the one sentence at a time and sl...
Emily, this is a fabulous blog. Your Te Reo is so fluent and so expressive. I also liked the way you supported your text with images (I need those as clues). I hope you consider continuing with Te Reo when you move to secondary school.
