My Experience Of Palin
This term our English and PE class have joined together to learn about new and different sports. This week in English and PE we learned about the game Palin. The game Palin originated form the Mapuche people from Southern Chile. In English we studied the game to learn about how it is originally played and what the rules are. We also learnt what equipment we need to play the game. Finding and learning the rules of the game was hard to do as the Mapuche people never wrote down any rules for themselves. We had to adapt the rules and equipment to suit our class better. Not only this but we did have to make up some rules to make it safer for us as we never found rules to specify safety rules. As the Mapuche people play they use natural resources like wooden sticks as playing sticks that they would bend at the end. We then went to the beach to find our own sticks that were bent at the end.
